Amity Global School celebrated its Sports Day on Friday 24th January 2020 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, The Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, CEO, AKC Group of Companies, Mrs. Pooja Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Schools of Film & Drama and Amity Humanity Foundation and Col. B.S. Ahluwalia, Sr. Sports Consultant, Amity Schools graced the event with their benign presence. The programme began with the Principal, Mrs. Jayashree Kad welcoming the esteemed gathering and emphasised on the importance of sports in a child’s life. The primary students showcased the lively parade and demonstrated Karate and PEC games that mesmerized the audience followed by the senior students marching majestically. An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the events. The most intriguing aspect of the event was the splendid field drills, involving mass student participation such as yoga, aerobics, basketball drill and Hula-hoop. This was entailed by athletic events where competitiveness among the students soared through the roof. The zealous parents, gathered in large numbers and also participated in the track events. At the end of the day, the winners were decorated with medals for their aptitude and sportsman spirit. Our Chairperson congratulated children for their tenacity and motivated them with her words of wisdom.
